About the Program
Comprehensive NCD Program
With 33% of all deaths in Uganda due to NCDs, and 1 in 4 adults with hypertension undiagnosed, our program focuses on early detection, prevention, and management of non-communicable diseases through community-based screening and education.
Program Approach
- Community health screening days for blood pressure, blood sugar, and BMI checks
- Health education on lifestyle modifications (diet, exercise, smoking cessation)
- Referral pathways to healthcare facilities for confirmed cases
- Support groups for chronic disease management
- Digital health tools for patient monitoring and follow-up
